SuryaTools began, quite literally, as a shared spreadsheet — a running list of the digital tools our founder Surya Pratt kept recommending to friends, freelancers and small business owners. When that list grew past a few hundred entries, it became obvious that the internet needed something better than a spreadsheet: an honest, well-organized library where people could find reliable resources without wading through affiliate-heavy noise.
In 2022 we turned that idea into SuryaTools. Today we serve tens of thousands of readers each month with in-depth guides, curated toolkits and lightweight utilities that respect your attention and your privacy.
We write in plain language. If a topic is complicated, we break it down. If a tool is overrated, we say so.
Our editorial coverage is not for sale. We accept no undisclosed sponsorships and label every partnership clearly.

Surya Pratt is the founder and editor-in-chief of SuryaTools. With more than a decade of experience across digital operations, small business consulting and content strategy, Surya launched the company to give practitioners a trustworthy home for the resources they use most. Outside of SuryaTools, Surya mentors young entrepreneurs and volunteers with local small business associations across Nebraska.
